It was afterall the first show of the tour. I've seen some video footage from it and yes, the stage set up is very minimal, but there is the trademark Rammstein stuff (lots of lights and fire). For those of us in the U.S. who have never seen them live or have not had them here since the Mutter tour, I am expecting a toned down show. I highly doubt they will be playing stadiums here, but more like the 2000 standing room venues that Manson usually plays on their headlining tours.
Win a Chance to See Rammstein Live! MySpace Music and Vagrant Records are offering Rammstein fans in America something they haven’t had in over 8 years... the chance to see the band perform their vaunted live show in person. You’ve seen the clips and you’ve heard the stories of what the band’s live shows are all about. Now here’s your opportunity to see it in a sold-out, hometown venue with 12,000 fellow Rammstein lovers.
The contest kicks off today, Nov. 11, and runs through Nov. 25 with entry forms available on Rammstein’s MySpace page (or http://vagrant.com/rammstein/flyaway/). The prize package includes a pair of roundtrip tickets to Berlin from a U.S. airport, ground transportation to and from the airport in both cities, a three night hotel stay, a pair of tickets and VIP passes to their sold out Dec. 19 performance at the Velodrome. The winners will have the opportunity to meet the band prior to Rammstein’s performance that evening.
Entrants must be 18 years or older, a U.S. resident and possess a valid passport with the same requirements for their guest.

Thanks Tash, I definitely entered in on that. A trip to Berlin, Rammstein, just too hard to believe. What would I say to them if I won? Prost! Take HuG as the opening act on your US tour?

Re: RAMMSTEIN ARE ALIVE!
This is great news for some of you...it seems from an interview with Oliver that a US tour will happen next September! No date yet but I'll keep you all posted
(crap) Translation below:
Quote:
From September we will be in the United States, Canada and we intend to visit 2 or 3 countries in Latin America. We were in Brazil, Argentina and Mexico, we do not rule this time to go to countries that have not yet been visited.
The desire is present, it is a matter of logistics and mood of group members, because we're almost all year outside of Berlin. We do not know if we have enough energy to stay away from home for so long.
In any case, the concerts in the United States and are confirmed as going there means crossing of the Atlantic anyway, certainly we will visit some Hispanic countries. Sure.

I was seriously debating on whether or not to go up to Quebec for this show when I heard about this. Then I heard there was going to be a full US Tour and nothing has happened. I'm going to be bummed if a US tour doesn't form.
Anyways, I see that Apocalyptica played "Haiffish", "Ich Will" with them in Canada. Lucky fans.
What a fucking opening! Love the first curtain falling to the Deutsch one, then the band.

Weidmann's Heil
The live show is amazing. I've wanted to go and see them again everyday since Febuary the 4th.

Ahh damn you, my brother is going to that. Apparently they are doubling the amount of explosives they are using? Or importing anyway. I'm not 100% what that'll mean for the stage show. I wonder if they'll add any extra songs being the first time they've played an English festival?
